I shall come to Basingstoke soon, before I drop too much form to see what I can do compared to the old days

This is my next big goal of the year. After having a bad start to the year and feeling like I was running in sludge, I found out I was anaemic and since being on the wonderful Iron tablets I have bounced back. PB currently 48:17 so still a bit to go but hoping this is a possibility in the near future

Have you kids all stopped training ?
So as said before you lot have helped inspire me on this journey back to running. Ran a 10km last night in 36.06 and won the event.
Again I credit the effort of you guys to chase your dreams as an inspiration to me as I try to get back to where I used to be.

Well done Gobi, nice running. A sub 45 min 10km is not my priority at the moment as Comrades is the focus. Once I get my legs back after that I might have a go at it over the summer.

Becca - I did most of my fastest running when I was training for the Comrades

I ran my fastest marathon in February but since then I have been keeping the pace pretty easy and running lots of hills. Local road race league races kept getting cancelled so I have not done much of the fast shorter stuff.

Hell no! Training hard for next race (BUPA Lundun), and gunning for a 42. Haven't been feeling that confident for the last couple of weeks, but last night's race pace efforts went better than expected Depending on how that one goes, will have 2 weeks easy followed by another 12 weeks of hard training for Fram 10k, 31.08.14 (my home race). Will be trying for something closer to 40 if all goes well.
Well done on the 36, Gobi

Congratulations on the win. 36:06 would have got you a 2nd place in both of the 10k races I've done in the past couple of weeks. Good work for a "would-be runner"
I did 47:16 (a PB) in very blustery conditions on Sunday. If I'd known the finish line was approaching, I might have taken a few more seconds off the time. This was a race with fairly haphazard signage and marshalling and a couple of busy roads to cross. The lad who finished 4th ended up doing more than 11k after being in the lead and taking a wrong turn.

Not bad for a cyclist for sure.
Becca - 5km PB was the week before the world 100km. I never ever stopped speedwork just did less volume

I did hook 10M race yesterday in that heat!! Aiming for 7:30M/M before the race and hit that target... Was nicely going for 8.5Miles and the last 2 miles were 7:45 and 8:02 so through my splits completely as melted in the heat.... Finished in 1:15:02 which I was happy with.... Newbury 10K next Sunday!!
