I'll be rollering tonight and/or tomorrow to ensure I don't tighten up in last 10 days before next weekend. A bit of speed and hills list night and my calves and hips feel a bit tight! G

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
I'm doing no running and only gym now for a week or two. Picked up a niggle on left shin / calf. I do enjoy gymming though, so I'm lucky.
10 mins spin bike, then 10 mins foam roller and stretches, then body pump then more foam roller. Pilates tonight, and probably a wee bit more foam roller. Yay! G

And same again last night, but 45 mins Pilates. Now lower back feeling dodgy (before Pilates, not after, but my missus does laugh at me, that I do core and back work and have a dodgy back!) G

Autumnleaves
I managed to get myself back to the gym on Monday after a week off - partly being very under the weather with a cold and partly sheer lack of time. Need to go again today!

Well done AL. I'm always glad when I do it. Just annoyed not to be running at the mo! G

I am here to announce my intention to stick to this and make myself accountable on a daily basis.
Of course, such dedication is brought on by being on the injury bench *rolls eyes at self* but I will be keeping it up once fixed (and I *will* be fixed)
So, to start the way I mean to go on...
30 mins of ITB strength exercises and rollering

Good for you Bint. ITB very treatable (or is it referred pain in knee or hip that is your injury?)
My funny left leg hasn't been caused by too little gym, but may be helped by more! (Think it's possibly too much racing post-marathon is da cause.) G

It is an ITB issue, :-)G, so that's good to hear.

Fierce and Festive Fleecy
I had ITB problems earlier in the year, it was a bugger running downhill but ok going uphill. I did lots of bums and tums and other classes, which seemed to do the trick.
I can still feel it on occasion (driving makes it worse) but the daily yoga really helped, plus making sure I do lots of squats and lunges and stuff to keep my legs strong. I seem to remember I was ok running uphill or on the flat slowly for about 2-3 miles before it started niggling.
Join the yoga thread too? Adriene has some great leg videos
