Know what you mean, Joopsy but my guess is that most of us are continuing to make an effort to be kind, even if we're not recording it here. If I'm right, it's good that it's becoming the norm One thing that this thread has made me realise is that I don't come into contact with strangers all that much. I suppose that's because I live in a small village, don't use public transport, work in an office with no contact with the public, do my supermarket shopping online, etc. Had never really thought about it before.

That's great if that's the case for you SarahWoo but I don't believe that it's true in general. If you take this site as an example people find literally hundreds of things, and people to speak negatively about every day and never seem to miss an opportunity to show everyone how angry they are.

JOOPSY! That's not you using this thread to be cryptically unkind about your fellow site-users, is it?

Hmm Joopsy that's a bit unnecessary, especially for this thread.

It's just the way I'm feeling right now, I'm tired of negativity every way I turn and everyone finding something to moan about. Nothing cryptic, Im out there trying to brighten people's lives V, as you do in your practice each day, Id just love to hear what good people are doing rather than their views on Trump.

I'm sure there are loads of us, including those who come on here and grumble about Trump/delivery drivers/our colleagues/our customers/those whose customers we are, who don't post on this thread because doing good shit and refraining from doing bad shit is just habit and we don't even think about it. I'm far more likely to notice when someone else does something good for me, and even then it's too frequent an occurrence to be noteworthy.
I've worked an extra day today out of goodness and self-sacrifice. But the virtue is mitigated by the fact that I'll get paid for it and half the day was taken up with doing something which gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction. And there's a bit of me wonders if it would be better for me to be out on the streets shouting about the badness of Trumpism.

I think this site has the perfect balance between positivity, supportiveness and humour and people expressing their frustrations about politics, work or lack of loo roll. The world is a strange and confusing place at the moment and sharing thoughts/feelings presumably plays a role in reassuring people that they are not alone in their unease.

Fetch is an outlet, for me particularly the TYWTSBC thread and I do say things on that thread that I never say out loud. I try and limit my negativity elsewhere and I don't follow threads that brought out the worst in me. But Fetch is a support group, and people use it how they need to. Perhaps leaving Fetchies to say what they like without fear of being judged is spreading some love?

I haven't seen anyone apart from husband and people in my place of work in the past 2 days. I have put on a happy face to the masses despite some unpleasant stuff having to be tackled behind closed doors.

Point taken guys and this probably isn't the place for it, I'm just full of love and struggle with negativity. Apologies, I'm going to go and get all sweaty now watching a band from Toronto in Leeds.
