Ouchie - top work on the 80m.
Good decision DT
CC - I feel your 10k pain, I ran 36min without any 10k work a few years ago, recently I've been 39min.
LMH - missing long runs affects me, esp at the mo when I don't even run 10m in one go outside of a long run, although I do total 10m in some of my session days.

Nice Parkrun time FJ, you and Ouchie get today's bronzed Adonis award for shirts off on a hot day.
TR.. 15m is a decent and very sweaty run in today's muggy conditions.
Ouchie.. good luck with the long run tomorrow, looks even warmer! 80m would be a great week of miles for you.
DT19.. worth deferring that run though Monday looks a bit steamy!
Speedy.. you might well drag some of that 10k time back eventually, I know a MV55 who has revived from 22 min 5k's to sub 20. Best of luck with your long run tomorrow.
LMH.. glamping in recent years at my regular music festival. Full height inflatable beds, Bell tents that you can stand up in and plenty of room. Very short queue for loos and showers if any. Proper fridge storage and kettles available for morning tea/coffee.
My FIL is stable, they are trying to remove fluid from around his lungs so he's still on oxygen and a drip. At least he's in the right place for his numerous problems. Apparently for low blood pressure you should eat more salty food!
Didn't go to Parkrun this morning, very warm and windy so got out early for a 10k run. 25m on the bike late afternoon, still windy but thankfully light winds tomorrow.

Evening all
Ian my sub lt paces vary a little depending on the intervals I am doing but always keeping the HR below LTHR.
80m is mind blowing weekly mileage Ouchie I struggle to get above 50
Good news about the FIL wardi. Sounds like a good decision to get out early for 10k
15m would have been a tough one today TR
Nice to see you getting the miles in LMH and no problems after the 20.
Sounds like a boozy day yesterday DT.
Good luck with the long run speedy
Sounds a great holiday Joolska
Nice couple of races FJ
Friday was a very warm run mainly on the beaches near the van. Took it very easy and enjoyed the weather. Saturday morning first parkrun since oct 2024. Went to Clumber Park and they have changed the course. Probably lost a bit of time due to not knowing the hills etc on the course but reasonably pleased with 22:15. A fair bit down on last years Parkruns but no problems with the Achilles so happy and now got a time to chip away at. Longish run Sunday

Hope they can sort your FiL and have him on his way home soon Wardi.
Should really take advantage of the lack of wind and do a long run today myself riggys but my knees were bad last night and the Ramathon means my shady route option isn't available so I'll probably aim for a MLR and hope we get some stiller days later in the week. Hope yours goes well.

Won’t be a big long run as doing it between nights shifts LMH. Enjoy your run.

Yes I'm with you all on the camping, the whole night time toilet element is the absolute stuff of nightmares!
Wardi, good to hear he is stable. Looks like you still managed what you needed to yesterday.
Ouchie, I've only ever managed 80m in a week once so good going. Incidentally I looked at Gloucester 10k results earlier I noted first v60 was mid 36s. Then I looked at rankings and saw the top v60 last year ran 34.xx. Just mind blowing.
Well done on the 14, LMH.
I went out about 11 for 15. Cloudy kept the temps down a bit but still warm and humid. After 9.5 hours sleep last night and a restful day yesterday it felt very pleasant and comfortable. That gives me 56m for the week.

FJ - Its largely run on the Tarka Trail, it's a good one, very flat with some good support as you run through Barnstaple.
DT - Outstanding boozing skills. Good 15 "recovery run" today.
Riggsy - Decent PR time and good to have a baseline established.
Run 21m to bring up 81m for the week, it did feel towards the end like hard work. 2nd time I've run 80m+ this year but probably only 3rd or 4th time ever. Feel suitably tired this afternoon. Went to the beach, no swimming just lay there.

DT19.. nice work banking that 15m, the temps weren't too bad here until 1pm.
LMH.. well done on the 14m, was the temp ok for you? 20-23 is my upper limit for a comfy run.
OO.. great stuff getting a 21 miler done, not surprised you needed a lie down on the beach! 81m is a fine week's miles for a gent of your seniority!
Riggys.. good effort at the Parkrun; you should be able to chip away at that time with more visits. Hope your longish run was ok.
5m again this morning and the best pace I've run for ages without really trying. Maybe I've turned a corner though won't count my chickens! 30m on the bike this afternoon, great weather for it now the wind has dropped. I did pass a couple of village duck ponds - they are looking a bit shallow.
The 12yr old lad I mentioned recently (son of one of my clubmates) actually won the Pontefract Parkrun yesterday in 18.46. Great bragging rights to take to school tomorrow!
