Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

OOh - poor Chickie. Am using an alternative strategy myself right now. Called b*llocks to medical advice. Don't believe it comes very recommended but hey. Could face being out of it again after the crap start I had to the year. So far so good - still alive after running this morning.

Gogsy!
Got to get this off my chest ... sitting with my leg up on ice, 1st week back after a 7 week lay off due to a calf strain - my blinking calf 'pinged' after 9 minutes of a warm-up jog. Absolutely gutted.

Sorry to hear that Gogsy. I'd get some G+T to go with all that ice if I were you. Won't help the injury but might stop you being so upset by it. ;-)

G&T? ... what a great idea. If you could see my face you'd probably think I'd been sucking the lemon already. :-)
To be honest, I'm already re-jigging the training plan etc. so I can't be that bad. Still feel like having a good swear, though.

Go for it Gogsy - you should have heard me and my mates at club on Tues. Not really a "ladies" club with the language we were using. Much better out than in.

hope it's not serious gogsy. after that long a lay off i would do a short warm up runs of say 5 mins , that's all for the first day. lots of stretching after and see how it is the next day. be very gradual until you are confident that it has healed.
