Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

As a self confessed “I don’t eat much so don’t know why I don’t lose weight” person…. And I’m really not trying to be mean.
If you are “overweight” but what you are eating means your weight is stable then the calorie balance is wrong.

We all agree that ultimately it is calories in calories out however you wish to do that eg low carb, IF etc
For me I have learned that if I want to eat how I do then I need to run 30+m a week to maintain that weight 😮
So if I actually want to lose weight (I do honest) I need to change something.

I can’t run more 😂
So post Ridum I will need to dial down food and alcohol as I probably won’t be maintaining 30+ weeks

SPR meals worked when I was working as the 6 meal idea allowed me to snack effectively but I now only have 3 meals. But I’ve noticed I have a pudding every night, mainly yoghurt but the way I make it is a 200+ cal pud! Stop that a few nights 👍

So it’s little things but it will be good not exercise

Sorry

I probably need to listen to my own advice too! 😂🤪

No, definitely not bitchy just plain facts.

It's down to how much we eat and also to some extent what we eat.

I can eat a generous amount every day, but only if I stick to my macros.

Thanks

I’ve noticed that at lunchtime I like at least a 2 part lunch, so egg sarnie and something else maybe a 3rd thing too😮

Again this adds an extra 200+ cals so needs adjustment. I have popcorn this week which is less calories. I’ve also been having a huge pot of filling watermelon so 2-3 things still but a lot less calories

I’m either going to try and stop yoghurt or make it up when cooking in a more controlled manner so not just scoop out loads and add to it.

I can see lots of potential small wins

It doesnt Pix but when I weigh all my food and calorie count I am not even hitting 1500 cals (avg) in a day, when I was unable to run post op there was days I was under 1000.

That may sound suspect but I've switched my meals so instead of toast/poached egg on toast most days I've switched for yoghurt and fruit for breakfast most days.

Lunches are primarily salads or protein with a wrap

Main meals are bulk up on veg and a small portion of carbs (rice, pasta, potatoes or noodles), a 400g pack of chicken will do both of us 3 meals each.

I don't snack and very rarely have crisps or chocolate. We have chocolate with a morning cuppa on a Saturday / Sunday but I've cut that down to only 1 day - or a kit kat will last me 2 mornings.

Yes I do have wine but mostly at weekends and I count that too. Obviously last weekend was different as I had 3 social nights and I fully accept the 1lb gain this week as a result.

Last month I exercised for 57.5 hours - 20hrs running, 4.5 of weights the rest running and yoga/physio exercises.

Its less about the number on the scales its the sudden explosion of my tummy that is bothering me.

Pix not bitchy at all sometimes you have to say it as it is

Me I've stopped the sugary drinks which somehow so far I haven't found hard though at times water gets a bit boring.
Have some "sugar free" 7up and an energy drink also "sugar free" but rationing it out and once its gone I won't buy more

I'm thinking all the time how can I improve things just had a pear and cherries chopped up with some yoghurt which was nice

I’m just struggling what else to cut out. The problem if life long dieting all the bad stuff already gone.
