I run for me, no work, no wife, no dog, no kids, just me, so I really relish the time in my own head. And as SB points out I am pretty miserable bastard most of the time. And yes RWR that was me, I am quite good at steaming up hills, just not very good at steaming back down them. If you were into Rowardennan after me you had had a superb second half to hit that time.

My wife is American and invited him if he came north. Great guy, and also works in aging research which is of interest to this aging runner! Funnily enough he also stayed with another American Fling runner Jamie Aarons, who I went back and forth with for almost all the race.
