Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The H14 was recommended to me by Ogee. I did try one in a shop and it seemed much brighter thanthe XP2.
I think they stock them (intermittently) in Cotswold.

The H14 is like a portable sun. On Hardmoors I use it on the 15% dim mode and it was brighter than most other torches! On full power and in spot mode I could see a good 100m. I'd think it ideal for night O,

Also the build quality seems really high. It is quite heavy, but I mostly use it with battery pack on my belt to offset this.

Anyone know what the H7 is like and how it compares with the H14?

Less powerful, far more fragile., better battery life, lot lighter, cheaper. There are a a lot of complaints about the power cable breaking where it plugs into the lamp. If they could resolve that I think it would be a killer lamp.

PS if you're buying a H14 there's a tools website that sells them far cheaper than any of the outdoorsy shops/sites. Got mine from there and the service was top notch. I'll dig out the details is anybody wants them (or use google shop search which finds them)

Even cheaper here - uktoolcentre.co.uk

That's the cheapest I've seen it - will be purchasing when I get home this eve. I've normally only seen them around the £100 mark
