Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm sorry f this has been covered, but.....

practice or practise

As in to practise something? Am I right or wrong.

And is it medical practice?

Am sorry as I think I have been saying this all wrong. And before anyone picks up my poor grammar in the post, I was never taught grammar, I do know that you shouldn't start a sentence with and but I do. :)

You're right m4p: you practise medicine in a medical practice.

practise = verb
practice = noun

And you can start a sentence with "and" as far as I'm concerned as well. And but. But don't end with a smiley in formal grammatical communications :)

Huge: an educated guess seems like either a tautology or an oxymoron, but implies that you are using your acquired knowledge, ie education, to guide your instincts towards a more suitable answer than just throwing a dart blindfolded at a board. Therefore, if I were to ask you to guess an outcome in an area which you know compared to someone who has no knowlege of that subject, your educated guess would be more likely to be near accurate than that of the less educated individual.

Estimate 16x16. Then ask a nine year old to do the same...

Abdou: And and But are conjunctions and therefore should not start sentences (except as stylistic devices, of course).

Furthermore, neither should be preceded by punctuation, except in reported speech.
