Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I don't wear mine at night.

It has decided after today's run that I am peaking. Seems to be mainly due to not having run as much as usual this week.

My race predictor has started to plummet at an impressive rate. This is a reasonable response to the training I've (not) done this month.

race pace prediction also plummeting here - times will get slow enough to be realistically achievable soon :)

I'm getting slower faster than my race predictor is getting slower, so it's even more unrealistic than it was 🤣

Interesting. I'm glad I didn't invest in a super expensive new Garmin watch now. Also thinking about taking mine off overnight. The sleep data it gives isn't that useful. Will just use it for logging walking and weight training going forward. Presume my fitness rating and VO2 max figure will drop like a stone once the running stops.

My VO2max is dropping like a stone currently; 52.4 to 49.4 in six weeks, including a 50k race and a 1:55 half, so it's not like I've been slacking off until my leg started hurting a couple of weeks ago. I think I'm falling apart since I hit 60.

I was faster before I had all that junk data coming off my wrist :)

Aye, that too. But you can only change the things you can change.

Very true. For me, (and we’re much of an age), the increase of data has come at a time when it’s mostly quantifying my decay. Not just Garmin either, my ITRA scores are drifting down faster than my times entirely seem to justify. I suspect trail racing is getting more competitive.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
