11.2 mile recovery run in the freezing cold today but i could not keep the smile off my face from yesterday. My pace for the first part of the mile was 3.05mins/km and then every section afterwards almost exactly 3.45mins/km (from garmin)..great pacing ..not. And it did not feel great to see you all charge past. I will set off much more steadily next time. What gives me some hope is that the 3.45 pace for the most of the race felt very "comfortable" and if I can keep this going over 5k will get me under 19mins my next target. So something to work on. I think running on the rubber surface is very comfortable compared to the roads and it would nice to be able to train on a track like this ![]() |

Just back from my LSr and the bath is running. What a contrast of weathers warm and sunny on the way out and snowing and freezing on the way back. Last mile was a killer only managed 11 miles instead of 12

Great run today, Jacobi. It's strange that my 100m result isn't there, as the person who timed me (Sioux?) gave it to me at the end. At 14:72 I unfortunately don't get a PB, as I only recorded 14-something last time. Never mind. Off to peruse photos. |

Shame you couldn't be there manc girl. Jo, I only added the results I had been told while perched on my stairs, so if you or your timer didn't come over that's why it's not there. I knew there were more in each race, but I didn't know who was missing. No worries, just add it to your portfolio. |

That's ok, m4p, it's not going to up my mileage that much! I definitely prefer the photo of me where I'm standing still, I need a bit more cake avoidance, I think. |

Hi peeps. Thanks to Homer and Cheshire Lady for organising such a great event and thanks to Sluggish and Debbie for the lift to and from Macclesfield :-). It was nice meeting you all yesterday, just a pity it was so Freezing and I didn't get a chance to speak to all of you. Did a nice 6 miler today to recover. Thanks to yesterday, clocked my first mile slightly quicker than normal. Loved all the cake and looking forward to the next one ![]() |
