I think today's is an excellent and generous prize and a fabulous start for the calendar - but I have no intention of getting on a plane any time soon so also won't enter a competition for a prize I can't use to give someone who really wants it a chance. I believe there have been similar prizes to this in the past and number of entries this year compared to previous years could well be interesting as a covid 'barometer'. |

Day 1 in the Fetch Christmas House... fantastic prize! but interestingly mixed uptake. Similar to others, I won't enter, as I imagine £500 doesn't cover half the cost of a week for one person, and I couldn't do the balance. Not being ungrateful, just realistic. And it gives folk who really want it a better chance of winning. There were lots of prizes that "weren't for me, thank you" last year.... i just didn't enter those ones. Can't think of examples, but I'm sure some of the books/maps and things would be wasted on me |

I have threatened my missus with Club La Santa in the past too. Would be a fab trip. Presumably it doesn't have to be taken until summer or later in 2022, maybe restrictions will be easing and Covid will be all but over in 6 or 12 months time? Anyway, fab prize for Fetch to have negotiated. Well done. Back to the Q about any newly registered Fetchies, how do we best welcome them? Is there a thread? G

Vrap - we're not ungrateful just giving other Fetchies a better chance. Many years ago my mother entered me into a prize draw to win a car. I didn't win the car but I won 2nd prize which was a trip to Disneyland Paris which to me is the last place I'd ever want to go. They wouldn't let me sell it or even give it away to friends of mine with young children that couldn't afford a holiday. After hours of annoying phone calls from the PR company they agreed to donate it to a charity as a raffle prize. |
