Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I remember the powdered orange juice and there was also one in a can (I think) that you diluted.

I can only eat about a tablespoon of fresh cream before it makes me quite ill so Dream Topping is my preferred trifle topping - there is a packet of that in my cupboard with the Angel Delight :-)

Bread looks lovely.

DT - it's usually the sugar I forget and remember when I lick the spoon.

In NZ, powdered drink is the norm. Far less packaging. Much easier to take travelling etc. It annoys me that it's not readily available here & cordial/squash comes in plastic (or glass).

I remember having powdered drinks, hiking, Nepal, Peru and NZ, they don't taste great, but you can tuck them away in your ruck sack.

I can almost taste it, DT.

I've been baking all afternoon. I made a load of sausage rolls again then also made scones (for the first time in decades)

and then had a go at making some individual Victoria sponge cakes. They worked out pretty well. I put raspberry jam in the middle and will sprinkle icing sugar on just before serving tomorrow afternoon.

We are all ready now for our VE anniversary afternoon tea :)
