Happy new year all ![]() I wasn't very active either on here or with my running towards the end of last year due to a few issues and it's going to be a challenge to get myself motivated and out the door this year as well at the moment but I like this group so joining again and will at least lurk but hopefully be more active. Good luck everyone!! |

Hope all went well today PenW I have been off work today but no run, we have de-xmassed, I’ve done ironing and generally put our lives back to normal. Had a good planning session, looked up some 12 week mara training plans and made the most of the last day off before the crazy world of work kicks back in. |

I know I'm being a bit thick, but is there any way to see the whole of the 500 league table rather than just the top 10?

Amazing what motivation you can get from here, mere hours after saying it would be a challenge to get motivated I've been out for a little 2 mile plod. It was slower and harder work than I would have liked but it's a start... GG - I've added myself and a couple of races to the spreadsheet ![]() |

Well I managed to kick off in 2018 with 4 miles on Monday (NYD). Well done all those who have got off to the year with a flying start. As for those who are training for London or some other long race, please be careful not to overtrain, or get injured. An occasional training session missed can be better than going all out and having to pull out. |

Hello. I've set my goal at 360 miles for the year, as I was achieving 30 on average at the end of 2017 before the dreaded lurgy got me. Hoping I'll actually get nearer to the 500, but we'll see how my body holds up!! First run of the year tonight at club - actually mostly walking with a short jog at the end (so I can log as run/walk), chest is still really tight after the chest infection but hopefully it'll clear up soon.

Wise words ev I know I’m mildly panicking that I only have 11 weeks but I’m also reminding myself I’ve done it before so I’m not as far behind as I think. Lovely to see you Kwala well done getting to club esp if you’re still suffering. I’m sure you’ll be flying once the lurgy has gone. I’m debating whether to go to club tonight or run locally and start back next week. |
