Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I agree completely with you on those two Hertford Tiger, not that I have had McMullens for a long time but I do like the Wandle (Wandle was the original name of our dog when we collected her from Battersea - we changed it to Wanda but if I had known there was a beer of that name I would have probably left it!)

A walk today ended at the wonderful Strathmore Arms near Hitchin, a fabulous old world country pub. So I had:

11 Adnams Ghost ship a pale Ale I thought was great when I first tried it but starting to wonder if it’s heading the way of Doombar!
12 marble brewery Manchester bitter. So good I had two.

About This Thread

Maintained by Ocelot Spleens
and here we are in 2025....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise, besides it's quality I prefer not volume.

Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2025, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.

Also interesting to see how variable local areas are!
