Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I love okra. It's a bit of a rarity hereabouts too.

In Hindi it's Bhindi and always tastes better with curry house spices.

Okra is also known as ladies' fingers. I too had it as a side dish with a curry and it was tasty. I imagine it would be unpleasant on its own

Okra's not something that would be nice raw, and it was definitely designed by nature as a vehicle for delicious curry spices.

Hmm, not sure what my last resort would be, maybe okra, mushrooms *shudders just typing the word*, grapefruit...

Haven't had any new ones for a little while, despite getting 6-7 portions of F+V everyday this week.
Ooo, have I had lettuce yet? I will have to check my list as I had a big salad for lunch earlier this week...

I like grapefruit (though not, I think dino's "special recipe), and kumquats occasionally. But then, I'll happily eat pieces of lemon or lime (preferably, but not necessarily, after a gin bath). Persimmons and star fruit I find somewhat unenthusing.

What would I just not eat fruit and veg-wise? Hmm, I'm sure there was something I found so revolting I would never touch it again. But I've also blanked it out. Keen at every turn to avoid bananas and parsnips.

I used to work beside someone who would fish every bit of pea and sweetcorn from a Pot Noodle. That takes quite a while.
