At Poole Runners we are immensely proud of our club and boast some of the best local runners. We have won the Dorset Road Race League for the past three years.
We're not just about competing though, we warmly welcome all ages and abilities, from our Zimbabwean International, to beginners just attempting to run for the first time. Whatever your ambition, we have qualified coaches who will help and support you all the way.
Our club has a thriving social agenda, from our Wednesday training, apres-run, in the bar or Friday night runs centred on local pubs to trips to World Wide Marathons.Long Sunday runs all over dorset ( the most beautiful county you can imagine)
Tuesdays and thursdays we have structered training nights to help you improve your running. We also have regular organised walks around our wonderful countryside. If it involves the great outdoors and some exercise, we're interested.
If your under 16 we have a thriving Junior section which compete national and internationally at the highest level
If your aged 16-86 our seniors will welcome you to a warm friendly and inclusive club.

Monday
A quiet night, with sprints, throws and jumps at Ashdown but that's about it.

We have a session run by Dave and Rupert, (depending on ability). But don't worry, all are made to feel welcome. Meet at Lockyers 6:45

Wednesday
Club night at The Junction. Access to showers, lots of runners to run with. a bar and apres-run social activities. There's always someone to run with. And all with our captain's announcements on Powerpoint before we set off. If injured you can have free access to the gym and pool facilities here.

Thursday
Track night! Ashdown for those who want to come. Distance groups run by Alan Lewis and Rupert, and assisted by Sue, Henry and Barrie. If you're interested in other things Les takes the sprinters with help from Haydn and Ian, Elizabeth takes the multi eventers and jumpers along with Denise, Mike takes the throwers and Catherine takes the hurdlers. All great fun.

Social run of about an hour meetimng at various pubs in the Dorset area. Very friendly and non competitive. No one will get left behind.

If you are so inclined, it's Schindlers Shuffles. Lovely walks (not runs) across the beautiful scenery of Dorset of about 6 to 8 miles. Great social.
If slightly younger, the juniors meet at Lockyers at 10:00 for an all round training session.
