The route is really pretty straight forward even the current diversion. As route one of the National Cycle Network follows Marriotts Way as far as Whitwell Station it is very well sign posted and continues to be beyond there right up to the turn around point (finish for half option). However a certain portion of those entered expressed interest in pics / notes on route finding I've put this article together.
With the Fetch allowance of 10Mb of pics I've had to limit those I could use. Which on reflection this is a good thing and hopefully won't over complicate what is an easy course to follow. So I've concentrated on junctions / sections where it isn't obvious approaching them where you go next, that said even then at all points in question once you're there you can see where you need to go next.
OK the course itself. It is an out and back course, generally carrying on in a "straight line". When this isn't the case I've advised accordingly.
Start from Barn Road roundabout after 1.2 miles turn right in to Sloughbottom Park at start of diversion

Through the park you follow the main path straight up past the pavillion, you'll see these stickers on some of the benches (also at several over points throughout the diversion)

Immediately after going out of park gate turn left up cycle path to industrial estate

At top of path, keep right to join footpath and best side to cross the ring road ahead.

After crossing ring road and at bottom of hill turn left on to Low Rd

Just past the sportsground entrance you cross the road bridge and turn right through a small gap to rejoin Marriotts Way, this gap may be partly blocked by cars or vans of those working on the bridges.

After about two and half miles you reach Station Road, Drayton. Turn right then left almost immediately.

At top of hill, turn right then left through gap to rejoin path.

From here you have 3 road crossing all straight over. Once you get to fourth at Attlebridge you go right, up the road for about 100m then left after another 100m you reach a car park.

Continue on across several crossings. At Whitwell station go straight on and do not follow National Cycle Network route one signs for Reepham.

Keep on ahead until Reepham station where you either turn around and follow the route in reverse or finish.

At Attlebridge left at car park, right at road, then left again to rejoin path.

At Gunton Lane head between these posts.

A few hundred metres further onwards, take the right hand gap. Another 100m or so onwards left on to diversion.

At Hellesdon Hall Road follow diversion (right turn) then up the hill.
Remember to carry on across ring road and not follow road traffic diversion instead !!

At bottom of cycle path turn right in to Sloughbottom Park.
