Running and Life is a monthly podcast about running. But not just the kind of podcast where someone is out running and records their thoughts as they go along.
R&L is different.
Think of it more as being like a ‘magazine-style’ radio show. It has interviews with people embarking on extraordinary runs or dealing with issues in their lives with the help of running. R&L will also give runners – YOU – the chance to submit your own race reports. Good race experience? Bad race experience? Tell us about it and we can tell the running world about it.
And Running and Life will be fun, too. Got an idea for a bit of nonsense (about running!) that’ll make people laugh? Great, submit it!
How to do a race report.
1 – run the race*
2 – afterwards, find somewhere nice and quite to record your thoughts. You’ll probably use an MP3 player, but any electronic audio system will be fine so long as the technical quality is half decent.
3 – email it to me at runningandlife@googlemail.com
4 – I’ll edit it to fit into the rest of the show
5 – er, that’s it!
* If you’re feeling brave you could record some of the sounds of the race e.g. that bit of the course where people have to wade waist deep in muddy water, or the sounds of delight as they cross the finish line. If you’re feeling really, really brave you might like to think about ‘interviewing’ other runners to see what they thought of the race. But there’s no set format for a race report, just anything you think will get the message across to other listeners.
But as mentioned earlier, it’s not just about race reports. If you have an idea about an item you’d like to do (or even if you have an idea that you think someone else could do) we’d love to hear from you.
If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas you can either email me at the above address or fmail me.
Running and Life is recorded and presented by GordonG, but the show relies heavily on the input of other runners.
